How We Rank Chiropractors
Transparency is the core of our editorial policy. Below is the exact methodology we use to collect, rank, and display chiropractors on this site. Last updated April 20, 2026.
Data sources
All chiropractors on this site are sourced from Google Business Profiles, the most comprehensive and frequently updated business registry. Each listing includes the provider's public Google Business data: name, address, phone, hours, rating, and review count. We do not add synthetic profiles; every entry corresponds to a real business with a live Google presence.
How rankings are computed
Rankings on city pages and Top 10 lists are computed from four signals: (1) Google review count, which proxies for customer volume; (2) Google star rating, weighted heavier when review count exceeds 20; (3) profile completeness — businesses with photos, hours, and a checked phone number rank above incomplete profiles; (4) operational indicators such as response time and last-updated timestamp. No business can buy placement on free ranked lists. Paid "Sponsored" placements, when shown, are always visibly labeled and separated from the ranked list.
Credentials shown
Where available from public records or operator-submitted data, we display licensing numbers, insurance status, and background-check completion. We do not assert these claims ourselves — we source them from state licensing boards or the operator's own website and pass them through unchanged. If a displayed credential is inaccurate, use the correction link on the business page.
Review policy
Reviews shown on our pages originate from the provider's Google Business Profile. We do not filter, edit, or re-order individual review text. Aggregate ratings are computed from the full, unfiltered set. Our quote-request forms optionally solicit post-service feedback; those submissions are published only with explicit reviewer consent and are clearly labeled with the submission date.
Corrections
Factual corrections are handled within 48 hours. Business owners can claim their listing via the claim form at the bottom of any business profile. Anyone — including consumers and third parties — can submit corrections via the "Suggest an edit" link on each profile.
Editorial independence
Our content team operates independently of any advertising or sponsorship relationships. Business owners cannot influence ranking, rating display, or review visibility through paid relationships with us. All cost estimates, guides, and educational content are written by credentialed authors whose bylines appear on each article.
Data freshness
Listings are refreshed on a rolling schedule: core business data weekly, ratings and review counts at least every 14 days, and editorial content on a topic-by-topic basis. Each page displays a "last updated" timestamp where applicable. Aggregate network statistics shown on homepages reflect the state of our database at the time of the most recent cache rebuild (at most 30 minutes old).
